Mississinewa Lake is a 3,210 acre lake constructed in the 60’s by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It’s primary purpose is to provide flood control in that area. The total land area , including Mississinewa Lake, under the management by both the Indiana DNR and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, consists of nearly 14,400 acres. This land includes the Miami SRA, Red Bridge SRA, Frances Slocum SRA, and the Pearson Mill SRA. ![]() There are more than 395 camping sites, including full hook-up, electric, and non-electric. There are several restroom facilities nearby in the modern campgrounds with shower facilities. ![]() We’ve had the pleasure of camping at both the modern sites and the primitive sites several times. The staff is always friendly and flexible. ![]() All sites are within close proximity to the swimming beach. We would recom-mend this campground to everyone throughout the camping season.
