Approximately 7 miles of the Tippecanoe River follows the eastern border of the state park. The river offers some of the best canoe and kayaking experiences in Indiana.

Most of the campsites for RVs and tent camping are shady and in wooded areas. The park is clean and well maintained by the DNR employees and others.

This state park is also a favorite for those who camp with horses and enjoy riding the bridle trails. The horsemen’s campground is large with 54 primitive sites.
